Freeze reverb in MaxforLive

Hey friends,

Im working on an emulation of the ChaseBliss Onwards pedal and am using a freeze reverb for an element. Works fine, but when I load the patch in Live I get this bonkers feedback loop(?) that blasts my speakers.

I´ve tried loadbangs and uzi´s on the panic button, but Live still freaks out from the freeze reverb. I hope some of you would like to take a quick look at this and help me eliminate this blast of noise.

Thanks in advance

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

uzi to reset is a bad idea.

all line~ 50 objects in that freeze patch

produce signal of 50 because that is initial value argument

your patchcords are not where they should be ...

......

freeverb~ external has freeze mode, why don't you use it instead ?

you usually freeze a reverb by raising the decay time to 0 - but if you apply a gain factor of 1.0 to a normalized signal in a feedback loop full of filters the level can actually rise - use 0.995 and it should work.

Thanks for the tips!

See now how I was overcomplicating this whole thing. Way easier to set up with freeverb.

while being at volker's download page, check vb.freezer~

it sounds great, and completely different than freezed reverb.

Woah, there is some really cool stuff there. Never seen that page before!

noooo, source; don't hook people onto my secret weapon! hehe

yeah, vb.freezer~ is basically my favourite external, period. It's so good.
