I need to monitor a lot of audio channels for acoustic events. My current idea is to visualize sonograms and detect visually those events. So far so good...

Now the tricky part for me is to be able to select a given time range containing an event. I was thinking about synchronizing a circular buffer with each sonogram and should then be able to stop it if needed (but not the other channels). When that part is done, it shouldn't be a big deal anymore to copy a time range with waveform~

- can I somehow sync a circular buffer with a sonogram?

- am I able to stop one channel in order to select its content, without stopping the others?
