Frequency modulation using samples as carrier and modulation etc

Hi

I havent used Max Msp for a few years now so am learning the basics again, I have an idea for my first patch, perhaps you guys could offer me some suggestions on where to start.

I wish to modulate one sampled waveform (for instance some strings) using another sampled waveform (perhaps a voice), so as I can create/morph various sound sources together in a simular way to that of FM synthesys uses a carrier signal and a modulator signal.
