I would like to have your opinion about an idea.

I'd like to find out if anyone has knowledge of a patch that can load random music samples from online libraries, e.g. Soundcloud or Spotify (with subscription). I guess this might be possible through API. Then I would like to load random 1 sec pieces from songs and play them in a 'swarm'. Bad idea ? Possible ? Too advanced for my half-advanced skills ? Maybe cloud services do not provide proper API capabilities ?

generate-a-random-'swarm'-of-music-samples-from-a-cloud-music-library

you can do stuff with soundcloud or spotify api, there are maxurl or node for max which help for that. However it's not easy because the api access methods change quite often, but it's possible, definitely ! For the "swarm", maybe the easiest would be to dive deep into the bach, cage and dada library ; especially the dada one with interfaces like dada.boids, dada.cartesian etc.
