Glide in a polyphonic subpatch

How can I create a glide in a subpatch connected to something like tese? I suppose I shall use line~ and mtof~, but how?

in my opinion - and in my patches - the line is always first in line, and the mtof comes on top.

glide/portamento/glissando is a modulation of frequency and that usually works best on the linear layer, i.e. note numbers.
