Granular Synth
Hi, i'm trying to build my own granular synth - the part i'm struggling with is creating a visual audio file playback where you can see the grain size and what part is being played. Similar to SugarSynth. I've tried using sugar synth and copying the code for that specific part to see if it would work and it still doesn't.

I use the [waveform~] object. Specifically the "selection start" and "selection end" inlets.
One thing to be aware of is that Max GUI objects can be layered (right click - bring to front, send to back). So in the patch you mention there is waveform~ on the top layer, and two multislider objects underneath - viewable as the waveform~ background is transparent. The x,y output of waveform positions the grains, and then that position is converted back to a max number (the snapshot~) which then shows the grain position on multislider underneath.
