Play and Groove are playing back but really slow, despite being sent messages for play at normal speed. I have tried the examples- same problem. I have sent my patch to a friend. It works fine on his computer. I have quit and restarted Max. I have quit and restarted my computer. I have re-installed Max. I am out of ideas on what to do.

This is really strange.
Play and Groove are playing back but really slow, despite being sent messages for play at normal speed.  I have tried the examples- same problem. I have sent my patch to a friend. havent looked at your patch but i would suggest looking at the sample rate you are running and the sample rate of the files you are trying to play

groove and play are running at about half speed despite being sent the message for normal play
