groove~ resampling interpolation under Max 7
Hi everyone,
That's it ! I bought Max 7 \o/, so I'm already trying to check if the little annoyings bugs I met under Max 6 have disappeared.
So one of those was a problem of resampling with groove~ in fact when I was loading a 24 bit wave file in the groove~ buffer, the fact to send a 'resample 1,0' message to groove transformed the sound into a kind of inaudible puree :( (it is well discribed on this thread : https://cycling74.com/forums/max6s-groove-with-resampling-sounds-awfull/)
But with Max 7 that's different, in fact it seems that there isn't any resampling message at all. so where it's gone? for the moment I didn't tried a lot of things, I assume that this interpolation is directly enabled but that's hard to verify.
Did some have any information about that?
thanks!
hallo ? Anyone for this?
if I get it, the interpolation is disabled when loopinterp is 1.
Really I don't understand, I know there is new features about groove~ that needs to be highligthed in the helpfile, and that's great.
but the interpolation is a critical point, right ? so why the MSP reference is so silent about it? and why I'm the only one to care about that ?
for exemple : fruity loops has a 512 points Whittaker–Shannon or sinc interpolation, xgroove~ object has 4 point sinc maximum (even an unofficial external talk about that). so What about the new groove~ object of Max/MSP 7 ?
