Help, Max 8.5.0 in Live 11.2 very, very slooooooooow to load

Has anyone dealt with Max 8.5 taking over a minute to load when starting Live 11?
Max 8.5 is much slower to load (1 mins 15 secs) compared to 8.3.3 (15 to 17secs) or the bundled version (15 to 17 secs).
Are there any settings in Max 8.5.0 that could improve things?

The slowness is also noticeable when loading Max 8.5.0 as a Regular App.

@Karl

I'm not able to reproduce locally, but please let us know what platform you are on.

One thing to try which has changed is the RNBO Server for code generation is started on launch. I could imagine under certain networking/firewall settings that this could possibly cause some delays. In Max Preferences, you may uncheck the "Start RNBO Server on Launch" preference and see if you see any change in behavior (image below).
Please let us know if this does solve your problem or not. If it does solve your problem, getting more information about any networking/firewall settings, together with your support information would be appreciated so that we might look at finding a solution for other users that may experience similar problems.
Thank you!

@Joshua, Thank you for your prompt response. I tried turning off the RNBO Server at Launch and it made no difference.
I am on a MacBook Pro (13-inch 2018) with a 2.3GHz i5 and 8GB of memory. I'm running macOS 12.5.1.5.

I have been watching the logs for max and there is a message in the 8.5 log. Just before the max_startserver message there is an ERROR

AddInstanceForFactory: No factory registered for id <CFUUID 0x600001ac2b80> F8BB1C28-BAE8-11D6-9C31-00039315CD46

This does not appear on 8.3.3

@karl Interesting! Thanks for the report!
It is probably worth opening a support ticket on this issue that you can work to narrow down additional information about your machine, especially audio devices, selected audio driver and settings.

With limited googling on this issue, it sounds like it could be somehow related to audio drivers and/or AVFoundation code for file decoding and playback.

Just following up on this thread in case others are having issues. This was discovered to be an issue interacting with a third party firewall and antivirus software. You may need to configure that software to be more permissive for Max/Live, and/or test with disabling the third party firewall/antivirus software.
