Help needed with Cyclr
Hello! I'm trying to understand how Vizzie Cyclr module works. Very new to Max!
I followed the tutorial that uses Cyclr as a sequencer for a playlist. But I don't understand the following:
The height of the bars seem to become the number in the sequence.
Is that right?
Just wondering what the number of steps and increments represent?
I've tried to understand by playing around with it. I've looked for documentation but couldn't find any anywhere.
Thanks in advance for any help!
The sequence reads from left to right. The number of bars correspond to the number of steps in the sequence.
The vertical bards represent the data value that's output when the step fires (0. - 1.0, just like all Vizzie data), displayed low to high.
The number of steps is the number of steps in the sequence.
The increment is the unit used for counting (i.e. 1 = counts by 1 left to right, 2 counts by 2, 3 by 3, etc.).
There are help files for all of the Vizzie modules. You display them by selecting the module in your patcher window and holding down the Option key and clicking on the module.
Thank you Max, it is kind of you to reply.
This is all very helpful. I am going to go back to the module and take on board all you write here.
My apologies for not responding earlier. I only spotted your reply today. Still getting used to it all. I should be more responsive to responses from now :-).
