Horizontal scrolling in patcher window
Hello! I am still new to Max and I'm absolutely in love with GUI in Max 7, but what has been bugging me for some time now is that I can't find a comfortable way to scroll the patcher window horizontally (on Windows that is). I wish there was something like Shift+Mousewheell or "hand-grab" style navigation like in Live, but unless I'm missing something, I am forced to use the horizontal scroll bar which is quite a pain (especially now that Navigate Zoom Window is gone afaik).
Am I being a noob and missing something obvious or do I have to hope for folks at c74 to implement this functionality?
same experience here... seems just like one of window's extreme flaws that these universal things arent just hot "wired" to the same functionality in all applications... so incredibly annoying
photoshop introduced alt-scroll on mac 20 years ago, and in every app which does not support it i miss it.
but if you are anal with max (like me) you can use window messages to move the whole window (and not only the window content), this might also help.
i use capslock & arrows for that, because capslock is the only modifier which is not needed for anything else.
if the movement per key command is bigger than your monitor, you will not be able to connect objects from one to the other plce, try 200 px for a nice look and feel.
