How to audio record AU DLS Synth?

In my quest for insane polyphony I've stumbled on the old question , Why is the sound I'm hearing from AU DSL not recording into quick record? I read threw some of the forum found " use the v s t ~ object" , and learned a little about the separation of church and state in the OS " the au synth lives inside the os,, this means the audio generated is not available for processing ........re rout audio or host synth inside v s t~" . All that lead to v s t study, then download of odin and surge , and then a realization that now I my never care about my lost caned harpsichord sound from the au DSL again , but my cave patcher brain would still like to know the secret ,, what is the method to turn DSL into v s t or record it ?
