how to make sure to un-parameterize UI elements in m4L
Hey,
I want to take some ui elements out of my Live parameters list. So i click on each element (or several at once), in the inspector i uncheck "parameter mode enable" ; if i't's a m4l ui object i go to "parameter visibility" and set it to "hidden". But alas ! after i save the patch, go back to Live, do some stuff in Live then save the Live set, i can only observe powerlessly how Live will automaticlly re-enable the parameter modes of those objects. It seems that once a change has been made (on one of those objects) and it's saved somewhere in a Live blob, it's impossible to remove it. I do'nt know wher eto find it from live. Advice anyone ?
hm has really nobody struggled with such a problem ? or is it a bug that has been resolved lately ?
hm, bumping this, just in case, you know, that someone who knows passes by
For me it works as expected: value changes are not saved with the Live set if "parameter visibility" is "hidden". For testing put the attached objects into a M4L device and see what happens.
hi Broc, my problem is that the "parameter visibility" was first set to "automated & stored", and afterwards i tried to hide that. And then, every time i re save the live set containing the m4l device, it re-set the objects' "parameter visibility" to "automated & stored" automatically. I will try with your example though.
i tested with your example and it's working as intended... i don't know
