How to oversample a vst/au plugin in max4live?

I really like the free Airwindows plugins. These plugins sound a lot better when oversampled. I could just up the sample rates of my projects but my computer can't always handle that and it's not so flexible. I also don't want to pay 70€ for meta plugin, sounds fine but is also not so nice in terms of workflow. I found that you can wrap any plugin in a m4l patch and I thought that I could oversample the plugin in there. Is that possible? It would be even cooler to make a universal wrapper m4l device that you could drop any effect, that does not natively support oversampling, into in ableton. Is that possible? :)
