How to remove plugin from vst object

Is there a way to remove plugins from vst object? I don`t want to disable the vst object, I would like to remove the plugin and leave the vst object empty again.

Thanks

There is presently no way to do this. You can use the disable 1 message to "turn off the power button", but you cannot clear the object. Feature request noted!

choose the most fast-loading and light-on-CPU plug-in you have installed, and load this.

Thanks you both! That would be a great Jeremy, like on any daw when removing a plugin.

It`s what Im doing currently Roman, but I wanted to remove it and keep it 100% clear.

Hi

To do this, I made an empty plug with rnbo (vide.vst3)...

Hey Francois, would you mind to share it?

Hi,

Yes, sure, but i can't attach this file. It's 5.3 MB and the site tells me that the file is too big !

So, here's a link to DL "fxwvide.vst3" :

And here is the (very simple) patch :

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

Hopefully it will be useful to some.

I uploaded an external https://11olsen.de/max-msp-externals/download/6-max-msp-externals/31-11vstwindow Clearing the vst~ object is one of it's features. I did that by replacing the whole object with a new one without loosing the patchcord connections. I think that trick can be done in js, too.

you could also use oldstyle (thispatcher) scripting. (and yes, it is threadsafe.)

but of course, depending on what you do with it, such a vst~ object can have many connection going in and out...
