Hi all! Relative newbie here. I am a thereminist and very interested in using my theremin with Max (I have Max for Live) to trigger samples, to manipulate synths, and then to see what else is possible from there. I imagine that whatever patches I end up developing could also be used by vocalists and instrumentalists. I'll get more into detail about some things I want to accomplish below. Would anyone be so generous as to point me in the right direction RE: what objects I need to be using, things I should download, and/or how to implement them? (I managed to get Tristan Jehan's analyze~ and the Stretta Piezo contact mic patches but am simply not figuring out how to integrate them.)

 I think it could be really sick to assign different looped samples to different pitch intervals, e.g. any pitch input from 1 to 200 Hz triggers one a kick drum sample, any pitch input from 500 to 800 Hz triggers randomized cymbal samples, etc. (Perhaps the randomization could come not from Max but from a sampler plug-in that is getting MIDI input from Max.)

 Something perhaps more intuitive to the typical use of a theremin would be to play a synth via the theremin. I would want Max to generate amplitude/loudness and pitch data taken from the theremin, turn them into MIDI (I'm assuming), and feed that to a synth in real time. (I imagine it would be really fun to do this with a drum sample loaded into iZotope Iris with pitch bend.)

I realize this may be asking for a huge crash course, so again, I'd deeply appreciate just to be pointed in the right direction or to hear any pieces of advice you may have. Thanks!!
