Ipad application data to Max Msp (usb-hid, hi object usage)

Hi! I have a hypothetical question, whether it is possible to get data from an installed application opened in an ipad, that I will connect into Max msp through hi object, as a human-interface device.

I know I must use hi object to send data from an external object (another tablet, ipad) to Max msp, but I actually need to get the data from an application installed on the tablet, not only the "system" data from the ipad as itself...

practically - i need to get weight data from a digital scale installed on my ipad and work with the real-time scaled object put on the tablet, its weight being counted in max msp and the number affecting other changes in max msp... etc etc, you get the overall idea!! <3

Does anybody have experience with this, please? Is it possible?
