I'm trying to build an automatic audio collage patch using ableton and max4live. I have an audio stream coming into 4 separate ableton tracks, and the max patch is sampling the audio into clips which gradually fill up the clip slots (see image). I would like this process to go on for a few hours, which would mean Ableton will have to keep adding scenes to be filled by the clips as they are recorded.

Is there a way of creating scenes using the Live API via a Max Patch? For instance, the live set currently has 47 scenes; once those 47 scenes are filled with recorded clips, I would like to tell Ableton to create scene 48, then 49, and so on. Has anyone tried this?
