Is It Just Me or Is Cut/Copy and Paste Totally Borked on this Forum?

Pretty much what the title says. Cut and paste from system clipboard causes all sorts of nonsense weird behaviour like chopping off preceding text when editing, or just not working at all when for instance trying to copy and paste URLs. Never had an issue like this on any other web site. I'm on macOS 10.12, latest version of Firefox.

this has been happening on and off for folks here for a couple years now... not sure why or if/what they can do about it(whenever it's happened to me i just have to close and reopen Firefox til it works again(i'm always in strict/private mode, seems to reset everything properly when i restart))
...also, haha, the word 'bork' always reminds me of:

Whilst using cut, copy and paste doesn't always work from a menu on the site, I always find that the keyboard equivalents Ctrl-X, Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V always work instead.

I'm on a Mac and the equivalent key shortcuts (cmd-c, cmd-x, cmd-v) are what i was using, or trying to, at least. No joy. Never thought to try the menu item as it should just produce the same result as the key shortcut anyway.
