Is it possible to combine the scaler Max tutorial with a vst soft synth?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to produce a simple generative patch that uses the scaler object with Itables to produce a probability based generative project. Since the generative process is fairly simple, I wanted to see if I could add a couple of VST soft synths (the TAL bassline and the Tal Elek7ro-II to be precise) as the sound sources. Is it possible to use the generated midi note data as a means to trigger these soft synths? If not, could I use rewire with Reaper with Reaper hosting the instruments?

I have posted the patch below if that is of any use.

You could set the MIDI output of your Max patch to the same source as the softsynth you want to use listens to for input in Reaper or whatever is using.

Alternately, you could drop the softsynths into a vst~ object and feed 'em the output notes, then route the resulting audio into whatever you want to record with as though it were any other audio source. The "Instruments" tab in the vst~ helpfile should be of use to you, if you want to go that way.

Yeah, so far I have managed to use the pack object to pack the pitch midi command coming from the generative output into a simple midievent message (midievent 144 (generated) 100). However, whenever I start the program, the midievent part dissolves into some sort of list. Is there a way to make a message that keeps the midievent tag and allows for the numbers following after the midievent tag to change based on incoming midi input?

Or am I going the wrong way?

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

Might be easier if I show the note generation system.

Found a way to get it to work.
