Is Mira already dead ?
Sorry for the dramatic title...
But... still no new version, no improvements ? (live.meter, live.gain, preset, umenu, etc, etc....) and stability....
I feel like im using a beta version since day one.
+1 for this. Following the poor response to the price jiggery pokery following launch I'd have expected a bit of care and attention from Cycling. Considering the cost of the app, I'd expect relatively speedy updates.
I've had free apps get updated faster, with quick and conscientious responses to user feedback.
Judging by the last few max tutorials from Sam he seems to be away in Germany, which I suppose means there's been a standstill in development?
yeah...
I mean, I'm not frustrated anymore about missing updates, I can't understand why there is simply no official statement about this. (You know this other thread "Mira stability"..)
I mean it's just no really a problem if anybody told us that sam's in germany and there will be no updates for some months. It's a problem if one can't plan projects, maybe hopes that there is an update coming up and tryies to use it for a gig, say, in two months.
Yeah, that's what i mean : should i go on with my idea of mira being a part of my live rig, or should i forget it ?....
@Woyteg: Yikes. I hadn't seen that stability thread.
It looks at though there may be an update coming though: https://cycling74.com/forums/mira-and-ios-7-does-it-work/
I've not yet committed to using Mira much, but only really bought it when I did to take advantage of the price drop.
It's possible that Sam will absorb large amounts of German mind-chi while traveling, making him far more efficient at debugging and programming when he returns. That might even result in a net gain in terms of output and efficiency.
A new Mira update is in the works. Stay tuned. Sam isn't off the hook, don't worry.
That's great news ! Cant' wait...
