Is the Mira iPad app still worth it?

After many years I have an (old) iPad again. Is it worth getting the app for better latency and whatever other features? Or is it better to stick to Miraweb despite its limitations (it doesn't seem to work with the accelerometers, for instance)?

Or, maybe even safer, forget about Mira, whose development seems stalled, and build everything with TouchOSC and ensure future compatibility?

I would like to hear from people that faced this kind of decision... any input will be appreciated.

Early Mira adopter here...been using it w/ ipad v.1 since the beginning...despite it being abandonware, i still really find it very useful and enjoyable, despite it's limitations. Also, i should state that i use it with the usb cable attached as the ancient ipad and the newer computer don't always play nice but that umbilical chord helps maintain it's life...There are many of us who hope Cycling74 will update it in the near future but i am not holding my breath.
