Is there a way to create nudge buttons for tempo clock in Max so that performers can beat match laptops via ear?

Thanks Broc. I am interested in recreating ableton type nudge buttons. They gradually speed up or slow down the tempo when you press and hold. The bpm returns when you press and hold.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
