Issues with M4L devices' parameters GUI and values when using external modulation from Modulators

Hi all,

I've recently noticed that when using Ableton's Modulators like the LFO or the Shaper to modulate a parameter of a Max for Live device (whether it is one you designed yourself or even the "stock" M4L devices such as the Modulators), when you unmap the parameter, there is an issue with both the GUI and the value of the parameter concerned.

As seen on the image attached (Rate) :

Here, it is not only a "simple" GUI issue but also a "value issue" as the rate is not actually 16.9 Hz.

This issue does not happen when using the "Remote" mode of control.

Nor does it happen when controlling a parameter of a "non-M4L" Ableton device.

I've come across this creating a M4L device but I was surprised to see that it also applies for the M4L devices included in Live.

I've looked into the parameter attributes "Clip Modulation Mode" and "Clip Modulation Range" but it does not seem to be it.

Is it a known issue ? Does anyone know anything about it and if there is a way around it ?
