Works on iPad mini 3 with about 2 seconds delay. I wonder if there would be a way to access the camera directly, as the camera app also shows all these buttons I don't want to see...

Is there a way to get access to an Android phones camera as well?

hey @R∆J∆ , any chance you could reshare this patch or advice that seems to be missing? i think it's about connecting iphones to max. Ty!! :)

i believe it is a simple as connecting to your computer via USB and then launching max and creating a jit.grab. The iphone should be listed as a possible video device. at least that's how it used to work. another option, for non-iphones and wireless, is to use NDI.

^yes, exactly as Rob says(this was just me opening the helpfile and being ecstatic to post a short video showing a video game on my iphone captured to max(talking about manipulating it later in jit.gl.pix or something)... also, the answer to the question above about specifically capturing screen was that this was showing up automatically, and to use the phone like a camera would involve specifically navigating to the camera app, etc.).. so you could just go to the jit.grab helpfile, with your phone attached via usb, and click the 'getdevlist' message there, if your phone is able to connect it'll show up in the menu for you to then select, otherwise, it probably doesn't work(NDI is probably a more reliable move all around, since in the future, Apple might restrict things more and more as they achieve their dream of world domination by ruining names of all the greatest natural monuments by associating them with frustrating eccentric operating systems and unnecessarily rounded corners).
