Hi,

I have been enjoying jit.movie~, great stuff, but I also have some problems: the audio has glitches; pops and cracks.

Is there any recommended codec / audio format for this object?

Thanks,

Sono

what codec are you currently using? i'd think AAC is best for audio, video depends on a variety of factors, but h264 is always a good place to start with viddll.

are the glitches only when seeking, or in normal playback are you getting glitches? do you have output_texture enabled?

Are you on Mac or Windows?

If Mac perhaps try the ProRes, then PhotoJPEG and/or Apple Intermediate.

I use h.264 on jit.movie~ sound quality are very bad, jit.move + spigot~ is ok, haven't find the solution to the problem. i think the problem is from the viddll engine.

Hello i have an audio wolf problem with jit.movie ~, at the end of each loop the sound produces a random crack. I tried with Prores444, hapAlpha and png. Is there a solution for compressing files to remove crack with alpha chanel? i try all the qt, hap, and viddll engine. But it's the same shit?
any solution about it , maybe to be solve with MAX8.
Thanks

I have the same issues as those listed above. It would be great if there is a solution in Max8.

jit.movie~ audio issues should be fixed with the latest version of Max and latest version of viddll (1.1.5) from the Package Manager.

If updating both still produces unwanted glitches, please send me a copy of the media file and your patch. you can email robr at cycling74.com if you prefer.

I always separate the audio from the video. The audio is read with groove~ in a buffer~ and the video with jit.movie. If you want to do fancy scrubbing and sync stuff, download the hap codec and do a @engind hap. If you need tight sync, use the sync outlet of groove~
spigot~ is not supported anymore in 64bits.
