Seeking use of Ableton Link or any way to use a standalone Max 8 Patch that previously synced to Ableton Transport using Rewire. Rewire is not supported in Ableton 12. The patch isn't trivial to convert to Max for Live (would be broken up into device pieces used on multiple tracks, etc.), so, can "Link" be used instead? Does Standalone Max support Link?

yup, look up the Link package in Max's package manager.

it can not sync timeline, only beats and such.

If you need timeline sync, there is midi beat clock.
