m4l device for kinect

Hello,

I'm an electronic musician, lately having a growing interest in programming on Max and TD but haven't fully commited into it yet due to my current life routine, I'm a bit of a latecomer into this game so apologies beforehand if I ask a question that is already answered here.
But I would really like to incorporate Kinect and body/hand movements into my setup as an instrument - mostly to control certain parameters and even send MIDI CC to my analog synthesizers as well, and I've used the search on forums and the newest topic was created around '15. My guess is either this tech has been abandoned and there are no working alternatives for new versions of Ableton Live, or there is a solution somewhere that I still haven't found :)

Here's the question:

I've seen Synapse / Quartz and it looks like a fantastic module, works in Ableton Live 8 straight. However the problems are; there are new versions of Kinect (Azure and Kinect for Xbox One) and new version of Ableton Live (11 to be precise). Is there a M4L device that works even after these updates? Or should I be looking for another solution?
