MacOS Sequoia low framerate on shaders patches
Hi, I have recently upgraded to MacOS Sequoia (from Sonoma) and noticed a severe drop of framerate in some of my patches using shaders (from 60 to a choppy 40).
Has anyone had the same problem? Are there any solutions?
I have tested both on Max 9.0.3 and 9.0.4
It seems I have this issue only when working on my second monitor (an old Dell 2560 x 1440 @60Hz), but if I connect the Macbook to a 4K TV it works normally. This seems strange to me since I am forcing the Max patch to work at 1920 x 1080 internally for all the shaders and the nodes used. Also I have set the display refresh rate on MacOs display settings @60Hz (in case the monitor has an higher refresh rate). In theory I expect to have the same framerate regardless of the monitor/projector used as display, but for some reason when I use this Dell monitor I get a drop in framerate and the video becomes choppy.
Any idea what could be the reason?
