Max 7.3.5 Released
We are happy to announce the release of Max 7.3.5. This is a limited update, with focus on a fix for paths on APFS file systems and Jitter bugfixes.

Hi, i've got a lot of zgetfn messages after installing 7.3.5 and VIDDLL 1.1.4 (Mac sierra 64bit)

Is this something i need to worry about?
send a message to support if restarting, reinstalling, or clearing your prefs doesn't fix it.

The "opened" object now works in a standalone but can we use it without the text editor window opening automatically?
I have tried several things by changing the file type in the /init/max-fileformats. txt file but whatever the specified format type, opened indicates that it has opened a TEXT file and the text editor window loads the file automatically.
Is it possible to use "opened" inside a standalone in a discrete way?

Both 'help' and 'examples' are greyed out in the Help menu, and I'm unable to open any of the example patches in the documentation (I get 'Error whilst trying to open "[blah].maxpat). I can see the patches are there if I look under the Contents>Resources>Examples folder in the Finder, so I know they're there though. I don't recall this happening in the last version - is it likely to be something caused by 7.3.5?

after resetting preferences, examples shows only ->effects->classic-vocoder-folder.
Max tour shows an error under the audio granular synthesis example: poly~: no patcher rgrain.maxpat
Is it fairly safe to update from Sierra to High-Sierra then? I've left it a while to update yet because un-sure about general compatibility

Well, I can see that the Examples folder is still present in the Max7 package, but the Examples item in the Help menu is empty. (Actually it says "effects" greyed out.)
Just wanted to note I also ran into the Examples disappearing after the 7.3.5 update (except for effects->classic-vocoder-folder), but I found that copying the Examples folder to /Users/Shared/Max 7/ fixed the issue for me.
Edit: should also note I'm running the 64 bit version on High Sierra
The new update has made it quite hard to use Max 7 on Windows 7 (64 bit). For example: opening the MIDItester the window that opens only shows a part of the MIDItester interface, however it's become impossible to enlarge the window (this has never been a problem in the past). This happens all across the software!
There are some problems with the Examples properly updating.
If you delete ~/Users/Shared/Max 7/Examples (Mac) or C:/ProgramData/Max 7/Examples (Win) , they should get regenerated once you restart Max.
@Viktor, could you contact Support? We will try to get to the bottom of the problem you are experiencing.
