Max 9,1.4 Breaks Full Screen Video on Mac mini M4 Latest OS

Sean Clark's icon

I can no longer run my video patches in full-screen mode in Max 9,1,4. When I press escape, the screen goes black, but nothing displays. It locks, and I can not escape from it by pressing escape again. After a couple of hours thinking it was my patch, I downgraded to 9.1.2 and full-screen works again.

Does anybody else experience similar problems?

I think I've got this sorted out. If you'd be willing to test an updated jit.world external with 9.1.4 let me know.

Great,. Yes, I could test it on the weekend. so long as it will still be safe to downgrade to 9.1.12 if there is still a problem?

Thanks for testing. You can always downgrade safely. You can even have both versions on your computer by simply renaming the app to e.g. Max-9.1.2 or something.

To install, first quit Max, and then unzip the jit.world.mxo attached here. Then find your 9.1.4 Max app bundle and right-click on it, and select "Show Package Contents". In the window that opens navigate to Contents/Resources/C74/externals/jitter

You can then replace the jit.world.mxo with the one you unzipped (back it up first if desired).

Please let me know if the situation is resolved.
