Max convolution reverb

Hello everyone, what i actually want to do is to make a patch in Max where i load two different audios, one that contains the information of the real space i recorded and the other, any different audio i have, so that these can be combined so the sensation of the space can be felt.

So does anybody know how to make this kind of patch in Max? all i know is that both audios have to be multiplied one to another so that the effect of reverb can be felt, but i don`t know about programming the whole thing, what i need to do is to sort of replicate a convolution reverb plugin.

This is what i am planning to be my final project for audio engineering school, i`ll appreciate very much any help you may give me.

Thanks.

Not totally sure of your intention, but you should look up multiconvolve~ - it's a max external which processes IR reverb. The M4l convolution reverb has it at its core.

A patch like you describe would be very achievable in Max, so long as you could use the external mentioned and still satisfy your project requirements.

I don't think it's possible to do convolution reverb in Max using the vanilla objects (anyone?).

Not sure if this is helpful for you, but the HISS Tools are useful for live convolution in MAX.
