SOLVED: see last comment . Thanks to Cycling74´s support team !
Windows 10 64bit , max 7 latest , Live 9. ( latest)
When clicking on the video gallery button to import a video , max will crash always . This is a new one . Im used to crashes with jitter, jit.matrix helpfile (it doesnt happends anymore) etc.
Is it about max4live ? or if i spend 300€ to buy the max full version this will happend anyway?
also dragging and dropping a file from the windows file explorer will crash max .

Apparently there are some video formats that max really doesnt like at all , even when sitting on the library without using them . So be ware if you arrived here searching for a similar issue . Because it wont matter how much you try to reinstall from 0 , it will happend again and again .
So beware!
What video formats? Or codec if so ...

It will be good to have these bad video formats enumerated, I don't think Max should try to be VLC and support every format under the hood, instead go for the balance of good features in codec, file size etc. It's no surprise the Apple formats are most stable like ProRes PhotoJPG Animation etc. There is too much variation in mp4 spec to count on anything in that container. But if we get more details we can know what to avoid before doing a big batch of encoding and finding out clips don't loop cleanly or something like this
