it seems, I'm having a problem (bug?) while Max attempts to connect to the Library: it happens when I try to open the package manager or the documentation. It says:

AN ERROR OCCURED. Connection to Max could not be established.

I checked if something is wrong in the File Preferences, but everything seems to be correct with the paths. In fact, I don't have any problems loading externals stored in their corresponding "packages" folder.

Does anybody have some advice for that and/or have experienced something similar?

I'm having this issue too. OSX Ventura. I 

it started after I installed a JVM (v 17.0.8), but after completely re-installing Max, it's still occuring.

bit of an update:  i updated my macOS to 13.6.4 and the issues went away...

macOS 14.3.1,  with Max 8.6.1 and rnbo 1.2.5.
