only Mac, i use that for standalones. Need to create before the subfolder "myfolder". (and the standalone in his own folder)

from 4.6, and allways data from coll's. Adding .txt is useful ( differents OS symptom )

My trick in m4l: loadbang-path-thispatcher, than idem joining this path to /myfolder/myfile.txt 

seems to work to fill umenu's, and coll's. With the joy of sprintf, no spacebar, but underscore. ( and damn! where is my.amxd ?)

A bit old school, but shared perplexity: i need to recall data in large scales, i.e 0.01 to 10'000 ms.

if another solution appears, i take it subito !

okay so it wont work on windows this way! then we need an alternative. one alternative for the task i am on would be the desktop - but that is of course also different in every operating system.

right now i want to avoid checking for OS and max version. (because checking for OS and max version is also different on every OS :P )

hm, it is actually a textfile, so i am lucky using that "cross platform" extension here.

but i would like to build a solution where you press a button (in the context of an abstraction) and this 

 a file in certain location, which is the same/similar on every OS.

shitty workaround would be: make different inlets, one for each OS/version. but doesnt work for standalone.
