Max6.1 - problems within TapTools and LitterPro

davidestevens's icon

Just a heads up - I have been unable to get TapTools and LitterPro to work in Max6.1.
Taptools - I downloaded the v4beta and placed it in the packages folder
LitterPro - couldn't find my download link, so I manually created a packages folder from all the LP objects etc installed in Max6.08

In the Browser I can see 2 Tap.Tools folders, and 2 Tap.Tools Ref folders, all of which are empty.

Am I alone in this, or is anyone else having the same problems?

These are the kinds of messages I'm getting...

I read somewhere that they are aware of the problem with some 3rd party libraries and a fix is coming in 6.1.1.

Edit: it's in the Max 6.1 sticky above ^

Thanks! Back to 6.08 for now.

Any update on this? I am seriously considering purchasing the litter pro pack.

I'm running Max 6.1.2 on OS X 10.8.3

It should run in 32 bits mode.

I myself have the same problem with TapTools, Max 6.1.2, Macintosh:
tap.loader: unable to load object bundle executable

And I'm running in 32bit mode...

On my machine taptools is working, max 6.1.2, 32 bit mode, Mac OSX 10.7.5.

Only Litter pro is throwing errors.
Unable to load object bundle executable.

Is there a fix for this? The Litter pro objects are my friends.
And I'm beginning to mis them :)

Email me with problems about Litter Pro.

Max 6.1 made changes that are incompatible with LP v1.8. There is an update to Litter Pro available that will work with Max 6.1.

(Sorry not to have seen this thread earlier. But I'm no longer on the list 24/7. Another reason to email me with issues.)

Peter, How do I get the update? I'm a registered Litter Pro user. Thanks!

@Steven (and any other Litter Pros playing with max 6.1): please email me directly. I see you've done that, Steven, and you should be good now.

If anyone can't find my email address, then DM me via the forum with, including a current email address. I can't post the entire Litter Pro update to the forum.

Peter, I don't think direct messages are an option on the new version of the forum (not yet anyway).

I sent you an email to the address provided on the site you have linked in your profile.

Sorry about the DM red herring—I sometimes forget what this forum does and does not support (and it changes).

I'm quite happy to answer general questions about Litter Power here on the forum. It's just (as mentioned earlier) that nowadays I don't always make time to read here, and if anyone has a problem, which usually wants a solution by yesterday at the latest, I can't guarantee a prompt response to a question on the forum. Emails do get prompt responses.

As far as general stability (which you asked about in your email and is, I think, of general interest): Litter Power has been rock-solid and as free from bugs as anyone can reasonably hope for. I think the actual bugs in the twelve years of its existence can be counted on the fingers of one hand and were almost all related to the migration from Motorola to Intel processors.

Hope this helps,
