Mc.cycle~ inside a mc.poly~
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to build a simple synth with mc.cycle~inside a mc.poly~, because I want to be able to change the harmonic content of each voice simultaneously.
But I can't get the patch to actually be polyphonic, I always have one note at the time (each note is made of 10 cycles, for the harmonic content). I have what is needed in terms of mute message to thispoly~, but still doesn't work.
It probably as been treated before in other topics but I could not find it.
Do you have some ideas for me ?
Here is my patch loaded in the mc.poly~:
Thanks in advance !
Can you send the whole patch for showing us what you have outside of you mc.poly~ ?
Did you check mcs.poly~ ? I think this is not what you chase to do, btw.
Also, we already built a couple of polyphonic synth by not using mc.poly~ but plainly [mc.voiceallocator] combined with [mc.target]
But in that case, this is a workaround for using channels of mc objects "as if they were" voices.
Hi Julien ! Thanks for you response.
Here is the whole patch :
Do you mean using mcs.poly to "blend" the harmonics generated by the mc.sig (harmonic message)/mc.cycle, and then treat them as one single voice ?
I got quite lost yesterday and I'm really unfamiliar with poly or mc.poly logic ...
EDIT : My problem also comes from the fact that I want to be able to shape individually each harmonic voice with the mc.function object before its goes into the "poly" process (which I aim to make using mc.retune~, but it's maybe not the best for what I want, I also thought of continuously wrinting in a buffer and pitch this "memory buffer" according to the midi notes played on my controler)
