mc.play~ for stereo pairs

Is it possible to use mc.play~ to play audio files from a stereo buffer and keep the initial panning? mc.play~ seems to treat stereo files as mono files and assign them to single channels. I'd like to use one stereo buffer and play back three instances of it as stereo pairs.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Holland Hopson this would be a solution. However, it doesn't seem possible to read from the same buffer and play layers on top of each other. I might go the old poly~ way then. Thank you.

I just had to deal with this too - the trick is to set the channels in mc.play (2 for stereo), then use mc.interlace to combine the two mc outputs into stereo pairs again.
