Midi Note Probability Gate - dial interfering with multislider positions.

Hi C74 peeps.
I'm still pretty new to Max and this patch is a smaller part of a larger one that I've managed to hack together.
My questions are listed in the patch as well as below, hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance, Joel.

1. When switching/saving between presets the Gate% Dial outputs its value making the position of sliders to keep increasing. The sliders also increase when change back and forth between presets if the Gate% is greater than zero. Ideally I would like to save the position of the sliders and the dials as a preset and not have the dial keep increasing the slider values when changing between presets.
2. When switching between presets there are CPU spikes (i.e. Preset 1 is triggered on all 8 instances of patch). Is there any way to fix this e.g. is there an Autopattr optimisation I'm missing?
Or is this a matter of adding a different delays to signals in each of the 8 patches?
