MPE harmoniser

Hey y'all,

Over the last 3 months or so I've been trying to get my head around Max 8 for the purpose of making an MPE harmoniser. I want to be able to a) make harmonies with different tuning systems, and b) enable single voice sliding as with other MPE instruments. (I'm going to use a Seaboard to control this but I reckon it'd be cool to make it compatible with all MPE so other musicians might use it too.)

I'm coming up against several problems;

Firstly, I can't work out how to get mc.retune~ to interpret MPE data. I've looked through every related Help patch I can think of (and even tried bruteforcing by connecting every output of every MPE object to mc.retune~) but no dice.

Secondly, I'm even not sure how I'll incorporate slide data into the mc.retune~ input MIDI to allow individual-voice sliding.

I know this is possible because such a patch is alluded to here roli.com/article/roli-at-music-hack-day-boston-2014 but I'm at my wit's end trying to recreate such a thing.

If any of you can help me get this working I'll write a microtonally harmonised ditty about my undying love for you!
