The number display for signals is called, "number~"(you can use that for display but it does not display every sample, only samples according to its 'update interval', which can only go as fast as every 20ms.... for your purposes of showing results of math, it could be enough as long as you aren't trying to view a mathematical result that changes more frequently than every 20ms). But there are other ways available, too, for more sample-level signal-value reporting: capture~ is an example.
