Multiband distortion Plug-In with a variable Response Curve?

I´m writing my Bachelor-Thesis.

hypothesis:
"It is possible to create a multiband distortion Plug-In with a variable Response Curve (Transistor/Valve Amps) in Max for Live"

1. Do you think a "variable Response Curve" is possible to create in Max? Can I vary the response curve and change that way the behaviour of the Distortion? Or do you have another Idea? –

Something like preset-morphing between Transistor and Valve-Distortion? Maybe like the Idea in point 3?

2. How this maybe works I think is with a X/y-Display wich can represent a response Curve of i.e. Transistor/Valve Amps and do preset morphing between Transistor and Valve Distortion Preset.

3. a way I have in mind is to use a multiband Waveshaper like that one in the MSP Distortion Tutorial, which has Transistor- and valve-like Distortions but no preset function…
