Multiple samples with mc.groove
Hi all,
I've been working on a list-based microtonal sampler for a little while, and this is the first prototype.
1. What I'd now like to do is this:
I want multiple samples, instead of one. Is there a handy way of doing this that I haven't thought of?
It occurred to me that if I had say ten samples of different frequencies, I could create ten separate instances of this patch, split the incoming list up to suit each sample, and have a separate slider for each element of the list (this thing currently runs within a BPatcher).
It does feel a bit cumbersome to do that, though, and would result in a pretty huge mc channel count, which seems a bit risky in a live context.
I was wondering if anyone had a smarter solution?
2. As an alternative solution, I made this second patch (also attached) - this basically transmits pitch bend information to Logic. For some reason, I seem have trouble getting audio units to work in the same manner when hosted in Max - perhaps I need to do something to the MIDI data first?
(TL:DR - how can I make this thing talk to Kontakt within Max?)
Can I bump this?
(sorry i don't have an answer, but the first patch has an object called 'micromod', it's difficult to get help on stuff that utilizes 3rd party externals here unless you provide links to those externals too, not everyone will have the same collections... hope it helps at least a little... i've no idea about the rest)
