Museum exhibit

I am building an exhibit for a museum which functions as a kind of stop motion recorder. It uses a webcam for input and records about20 or 30 images which are then played back. I was thinking of using an Intel NUC as the PC. Nothing else will be done with this computer. Is it necessary to have an I5 processor? Is there another computer that would function as well? How much RAM would be sufficient? I am trying to keep costs down.
Thanks in advance.

I'd suggest you make your patch, then test on different machines if you manage to get friends to lend you a machine to test on. If your patch uses only standard Max objects and GL2 engine, I guess you'll be able to run it on many "sub-optimal" machines (or are they the optimal ones?) Nothing will replace testing.

Any suggestions for a small footprint PC? I have written the patch and it uses standard Max objects. It runs fine on this computer but it is a laptop.
