naming tool for note (events) needed
hello
i want to label each note (event) differently as to remember my fingering for a music instrument composition - not only the note's pitch. is there such a thing already maybe?

What do you mean with label? Where do you want to display the label and when?
firstly, sorry for my bad english.
to label/name/rename (wth ctrl+r) each note event within the piano roll., directly into every note.
eg. where "g#2" might be written into, so after editing, with the needed infirmation (1 - 5) it'd be possible for me to read out which finger to use.

It is a cool idea but i don't think M4L can exactly do that. It could remember labels for notes and then show label for selected note in a separate window but not really integrated into piano roll. What if you use deactivated notes to add little markers?
I know, not most elegant but at least a way to add something to the clip that is only of visual relevance. (deactivate notes with 0 on numpad)

I also play guitar and i found it more comfortable to assign a jpg/png/pdf-page to a clip or a complete scene. What you have in mind would be needed only if you want to compose and actually write down new tabs directly in Live.

yh, thats actually what i do... just for a 10-stringed instrument with a thirds-tuning, so overlapping pitches everywhere 😅
😲ok then you really need a custom editor. I see you tagged it as Job. Everybody interessted should chime in. For myself, I find it interessting but i can't free up much time for an extra project.
