I'm working on a live show where I'm playing the score for film live, building it in loops & layers and also semi live-editing the accompanying video. 

One thing I've needed to do is to be able to hit a different midi pads throughout my setup that each can send a trigger to Resolume (VJ software) to play the next column of visuals on the next beat #1. Resolume has a device called Parameter Forwarder that sends a signal from Ableton to Resolume, so I've just created a very simple patch that can send the Parameter Forwarder a bang immediately when I hit a midi pad, or have the bang wait until the next beat #1. 

I am a total Max noob, but I figured it out enough to create a very basic patch and get it working most of the time, but there are still a few gremlins in the patch that are coming back to haunt me now that I'm starting to play the show for people live. Here are the issues: 

I've asked ChatGPT which had some thoughts but honestly I don't understand Max well enough to be able to implement the ideas. I would love to learn Max fully someday but I'm really daunted by the thought of it currently. I'd be super grateful for any insight you have. This patch is really important to this show that I'm making and I'd be happy to pay someone for their time helping me to make it more robust. I'd also be happy to do some kind of skill swap, I've learned a ton about Ableton and Resolume for this show and have been a filmmaker & video editor for 15 years in case any of that is helpful to you! 

Here is the patch that I created. I've also attached a photo showing how it's setup in Ableton. (First row are midi mappable buttons that send a next column signal to Resolume, second row of big circles send a next columnn signal to Resolume on the next beat #1)

Hello! I would love to know if someone could help me to modify an existing M4L device (Here:

) to allow it to update its parameters to reflect the state of the synth, after a program change. It currently shows changes when tweaking a knob, but doesn't "snap" to those knob's actual settings upon changing a patch.

Is this even possible? I am an absolute neophyte when it comes to programming and realize this may not be something I can implement myself but would love to have some help. Would even be willing to pay someone to create/edit this for me!

Wondering if someone can expose the parameters of a few M4L devices so that they can be controlled in Push 3 Standalone.  I’m happy to pay for the service.  There are 3 devices possibly 2 functions each with 8-16 parameters per function.  They are the 3 Expert Sleepers devices by mrkarlos on maxforlive.com.  Would be happy to pay mrkarlos himself but am unable to contact him (devices are licensed under “Attribution”)  For the right person I imagine this is 30 min of work. I am looking for someone to help me with recreating this Sennheiser VSM-201 emulation as a Max4Live device.  A vocoding wizard YouTuber by the name of Cmyth created it on Reaper:

I reached out to this person directly to see if he would be able to recreate this in Ableton, which he attempted to do but it didn't come out quite right.  I still have the Ableton project file that he sent me if it would be helpful to look at.  Luckily, in the YouTube video, while Cmyth demonstrates his vocoder he explains what is going on under the hood a bit. 

There are a few plugins that are used to create this sound, including Fab Filter Pro Q 3.  The other plugins he used are free, but Pro Q 3 is not.  I imagine these plugins may have to be built into the Max4Live plugin to work.  I am a Mac user, so whichever third party plugins may be used in this recreation must be Mac compatible. 

If anybody feels this is doable please reach out!

Granted we aren't getting a peanut when we solve it so that is also a factor but still... 

(They also got me beat though as i can do it nowhere near the same speed as them)

-put both files in the same folder. Open the file that starts with "main" (my poly~ naming convention sucks i know, sorry)

- Start the jit.world and start. Clicking "0" the first time will reset the whole session and i think it's because of lingering values? Don't worry, it doesn't keep an overall score....

In short, willing to pay for someone who can put together a patcher that takes two argument inputs "Track Name" and "Channel" that routes plugout 3/4 to that Track NAME and channel pair input. It would continue to work when creating new tracks, reordering, reloading a set (anything that might change trackid's).

I'm using expert sleepers Eurorack modules  to get 24 CV outputs (time multiplexed) from one audio channel via ADAT. These two gen~ devices do the multiplexing

The issue I've faced when working with Push Standalone is that umenu isnt mappable to Push, so I cant edit the routings above. I had to modify the devices to route the esx8cv device output to ~plugout 1/2, then use Live's Audio Routing to send that into the ES5 input 3/4, 5/6 etc. This isn't desirable for many reasons.

I just want a patcher that routes 3/4 out of a Max audio plugin into one of the channel input pairs of the track named 'ES-5'

The Game School at Hamar, Norway, has a vacant position as PhD fellow in spatial computing and virtual productions.

In the coming years, we expect a significant increase in the development and use of spatial computing. We envision significant impacts in existing forms of augmented reality (AR), and virtual production (VP), for use in game- TV, and film production as well as in other areas such as installation works. The focus of the PhD position is to explore and develop new forms of expression and perhaps new art forms, where actual and projected space meet. The increasing capacity and ubiquity of multiple layers of imagery, computing, and AI will facilitate this blending of physical and virtual spaces towards new hybrid forms of augmented imagery and space. These hybrids are most obvious in head-mounted displays, such as the Apple Vision Pro and in virtual production (VP). But we view this as the beginning of many new and emergent platforms and possibilities.
