Is there a basic Max MIDI device that has a series of buttons/toggles that will simply output MIDI notes/CC data on a selectable channel so that I can MIDI map each button to several parameters in Live (like soloing/deactivating tracks, turning devices on/off, and other MIDI mappable parameters)?

I need to map Live parameters to MIDI so that I can click/toggle one button to do a number of things in Live at the same time, and so that I can (hopefully) retain the mappings between Live sets (keyboard mapping doesn't seem to transfer when importing tracks from other sets). And it would be great to have this work using a Max MIDI device so that I'm not dependent on having a hardware MIDI controller connected when all I have with me is my laptop.

Hopefully there is a simple solution for this. It really seems like there should be a way to do it.
