It gives you a completely hands-free workflow for using the Ableton Looper or recording clips. When using the Looper, the RGB LEDs will change colors to match the looper state, and blink in time with the metronome, so you don't have to listen to a click track.

The session mode allows you to quickly record clips without doing any MIDI mapping; the remote script auto-scans for available clip slots and lets you iterate ideas super quickly.
