I'm a beginner with Max, I've discovered this software one year ago but never used it again until today.

I'm working on my first interactive project , and I want to control lights and sounds with proximity sensors. 

I've allready created a patch wich allows me to get signals from my sensors (thanks to an interface Z) and also to control my lights thru DMX thanks to the "fxwdmxusbpro" object and a DMX/USB Pro MK2 interface.

But as I am not familiar with Max, I don't see how I can play with my lights as I would do with a normal lightdesk: I mean I'd like to create chase, to create fade in and fade out and send it to my dimmer DMX channels. I've tried to use MSP objects for example to use sine waveforms, but it looks like I can not use ~ objects to interact with non audio stuff... or am I wrong?

I would be very grateful if someone can help me, I guess there are allready some topics or exemples somewhere but I could not find it using the research tool on this forum.
