Noob Question: All max devices UI Broken and audio issue

Installed some m4l devices a few days ago and have been using them without issue, had saved quit and re opened projects perfectly fine, until today.

I had saved a project and came back to it, the M4L patch I was using had a bugged UI, all numbers were sort of duplicated over one another and I couldn't interact with anything in the window, the device now also killed any audio running through it. I tested with other patches, in new ableton sessions, deleting Cycling74 folder to reset max, Deleted all devices, re downloaded and re installed etc but all my devices are now doing this every time I load them, rendering them essentially unusable.

A partial fix I have found is to try and view the patcher in max, this requires me opening and closing twice, and max without fail stops responding instantly when open, however doing this gets the device 'working', the device modifies audio as intended, the UI is still visually bugged and frozen however changing parameters now works as far as affecting the audio is concerned.

Absolutely at my whits end here, is there any way I can reinstall just M4L? Or any other fix anyone might be able to think of? Thanks in advance!
